Haven Explorers: 5-8 year olds

Our Haven Explorers camp is a delightful mix of curiosity and adventure. Campers will explore nature both on campus and during field trips. They’ll investigate God’s amazing creation. They’ll also dive deeply into the creative world of literature and create their own stories. They’ll create crafts, have picnic lunches, make friends, frolic in water, and so much more! We’ll take frequent field trips!

Creativity Unleashed: 8-11 year olds

Our Creativity Unleashed campers will unleash their creativity and build memories that last a lifetime. We’ll develop and act out skits, write stories, learn to cook fantastic treats, explore nature, go on amazing field trips, and much more!

Adventure Club: 11-15 year olds

Our camp for 11-15 year olds is all about adventure! We’ll go to the movies, pool, hiking, bowling, trampoline park, and more! Campers will get to know each other and make memories of a great summer!

If your family is already a member of Haywood Haven or has been in the past, you qualify to register. If not, please complete the application below, we’ll reach out to schedule a phone interview. The registration form is password protected.

Haywood Haven is offering weekly summer camps in June, July and August. Complete the form below to apply. There’s a $75 registration fee for new families. If you’re taking classes with us in 2024-25, your $125 registration will cover summer camps as well. These camps are a la carte, so you can take as many as you’d like.

Drop off and pick up students from Haywood Haven campus (Dellwood Baptist Church – 115 Hall Drive, Waynesville). Spaces are limited. Registration for each week closes the week before.

Camp themes for 5-11 year olds

May 28/30 Summer Blast Off – make snow cones, slip and slide, sprinklers, chalk art, crafts
June 4/6 All About Me – crafts and discovery of who the kids are, writing their story, games
June 11/13  Only 5-8 year olds Big on Bugs – get to know some cute critters, read bug stories, make mud cake, nature walks to discover insects
June 18/20  Furry Friends – share about your pet, visit a petting zoo, make animal crafts
July 9/11 Rocking Geodes – make rock candy, study rocks, gem mining, park/picnic
July 16/18 STEAM Week – build simple machines, visit a science museum, play math games
July 23/25 Enchanted Forest – go for a hike, learn about trees, make suncatchers, have a picnic, etc.
July 30/August 1 In The Garden – visit a local farm, grow seedlings, paint pots, etc.
August 6/8 Olympic Games – compete in a field day, learn about the Olympics, design-your-own game, visit park

Adventure Camp (11-15 year olds)

Depending on weather and schedules, we’ll have one of the following adventures: bowling, trampoline park, NC Arboretum, the Retro Arcade in Asheville, movies, escape rooms, Sliding Rock, the pool, and more! We’ll also visit parks and have picnics. Plans for our adventure will be finalized the week before.
